Shrubs provide beauty and diversity to our landscape. We are known for our outstanding selection and quality. We carry many new varieties of evergreens and deciduous shrubs. Many colorful, low maintenance, dwarf shrubs as well. In our nursery you will find many unusual varieties not offered at other nurseries. Our unique evergreen topiary section includes, Pom Pon, Evergreen on Standards, Prostrata, Spirals, Poodle, and Dwarf Flowering Trees. So if you are looking for a stand out rose bush or a delightful evergreen such as a boxwood, or a hard to find variety shrub, you will find them and more all as you browse our selection. All shrubs are suited for our planting area and offered in a variety of sizes, sure to meet your needs.
Perennials
With our selection of perennials, one of the largest in the area, you are sure to find what you are looking for and more. We are known for New, Hard to find, Unique varieties bursting with color, dwarf sizes, and re-blooming perennials. You will find perennials for sun, shade, old fashion favorites and the newest varieties. You will find perennials for bees, hummingbirds, and butterflies and also varieties that are more deer and animal resistant to eating. If you do not see what you are looking for, just ask. Our experienced staff is available to help and guide you, answer questions, and help in designing and planning your beds. In turn, getting the perfect perennial for that special spot.
Trees
Ornamental Trees - Ornamental trees are unique. They may be either flowering or non-flowering and can also provide shade and fragrance to an area. Many ornamental trees are great for patio areas and around outdoor living spaces. Evergreen Trees - Provide screening and windbreaks but they can be used as accents as well. Need Privacy in your backyard? Then think about including evergreen trees into your backyard. We carry a large selection of evergreens including Firs, Spruce, Pines and unusual evergreens such as weeping white pine and spruce, Serbian spruce, blue atlas cedar, limber pines, and Japanese white pine. All are available in various sizes.
Shade Trees - All trees provide some shade, but the trees we list as shade are the ones that are large enough to cast shade on homes & backyards. Some exhibit showy fall leaf color, some have unique trunk characteristics such as peeling bark and others have distinctive branching habits. We carry an excellent selection in various sizes that include Maples, Willows, Beech, & More!
Fruit Trees - Glenmar Nursery carries an extensive selection of fruit trees dwarf and semi-dwarf varieties of fruit trees including Cherry, Pear, Peach, Apple, Fig, & Persimmon. We also carry many varieties of blueberry bushes.
